Jamaica Tourism Minister Honoured with Global Tourism Resilience Lifetime Achievement Award

Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett, received the Global Tourism Resilience Lifetime Achievement Award at the 4th Global Tourism Resilience Day 2026. The event took place at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi on February 17, 2026.

The organisers presented the award during the official Global Tourism Resilience Day programme. It recognises sustained contributions to tourism resilience and effective crisis management.

Tourism officials, government representatives and industry stakeholders from several countries attended the ceremony. The award presentation formed part of a series of events in Nairobi marking Global Tourism Resilience Day 2026.

The Global Tourism Resilience Lifetime Achievement Award honours individuals who have led or supported global initiatives focused on strengthening tourism resilience.
