Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced the appointment of Khajornrit Khwanmongkol as the Director of its New Delhi Office, strengthening Thailand’s tourism leadership in the Indian market.

Khajornrit Khwanmongkol is a senior tourism professional with over 22 years of experience at the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). He brings strong expertise in international tourism marketing, destination management, and sustainable tourism development. In his new role, he will lead Thailand’s tourism strategy in India. His focus will remain on market growth, meaningful partnerships, and long-term sustainability.

Over the years, Khajornrit has played an important role in turning Thailand’s national tourism policies into impactful global initiatives. He has managed Thailand’s participation at major international tourism platforms, including ITB Berlin, Tourism EXPO Japan, and Floriade in the Netherlands. He has also contributed to domestic tourism growth while serving as Director of the Southern Market Division and Deputy Director for the Northeastern Region.

A strong advocate of responsible tourism, Khajornrit actively promotes the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model and Low Carbon Tourism. His work aims to balance economic growth with community well-being and environmental protection. He also has experience in crisis and quality management. As a member of the Amazing Thailand Safety & Health Administration (SHA) working committee, he helped align industry standards with global safety norms.
