Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has confirmed that its much anticipated Great Tides Waterpark at Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas will officially open on September 4, 2026. The debut will coincide with the arrival of Norwegian Luna during a seven day Caribbean voyage, while advance sales for waterpark day passes are set to begin from May 28, 2026.
Spread across nearly six acres, the new attraction has been designed to offer experiences for guests of all ages. Among its key features is the 170 foot Tidal Tower, which will house a range of slides including water coasters, racing slides and tube attractions. The park will also feature Cliffside Cove with elevated cliff jumps, the Caribbean’s only four person body slide, an expansive children’s splash zone and an action packed river experience stretching more than 800 feet.

Guests will also have access to private cabanas located close to the main attractions, while new food trucks will add a variety of dining options. The development forms part of NCL’s broader enhancement of Great Stirrup Cay, which recently introduced the Great Life Lagoon, upgraded family facilities, an adults only beach club and an island wide tram network. The private island remains a year round destination for NCL guests sailing from ports across Florida, New York and Philadelphia.
