The Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) concluded a three-city roadshow across New Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai from 12 to 16 October 2026, engaging nearly 300 travel trade professionals and strengthening its engagement with the Indian market after several years.

The roadshows showcased Israel’s diverse tourism offerings, spanning leisure, family holidays, luxury travel, MICE, culture, adventure and experiential tourism. Destination management companies Amaris Tours and Events, Magi Holidays and Satguru Travel also participated in the events.

A key highlight was the formalisation of a strategic partnership between IMOT and the Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) in Mumbai. The memorandum of understanding, signed by OTOAI president Himanshu Kesari Patil and Galit Hoffman, Consul for Tourism Affairs, Israel Ministry of Tourism, India, establishes a framework for cooperation in destination promotion, professional training, familiarisation trips and joint marketing initiatives.

The renewed engagement comes amid signs of recovery in tourism to Israel. The Ministry reported approximately 140,000 tourist arrivals in September 2026, up 19 per cent year-on-year.

Adding to the positive outlook, Air India is scheduled to resume five weekly direct flights between Delhi and Tel Aviv from December 1, 2026, improving connectivity for Indian travellers. IMOT plans to continue its engagement through B2B meetings, webinars, training programmes and collaborative initiatives with travel trade and media partners.
