Araiya Hotels & Resorts has announced its entry into Kerala with the launch of Soul by Araiya Paithalmala – A Vihaara Resort, a boutique mountain retreat located in the scenic highlands of northern Kerala. The property is owned by Subhakaran K V and family and will be operated by Araiya Hotels & Resorts as part of its expanding collection of nature- and wellness-focused destinations across India.

Set against the backdrop of the Western Ghats, the resort has been designed as a quiet escape that encourages guests to slow down and reconnect with nature. The property offers 18 accommodations, comprising 17 Deluxe Rooms and one Honeymoon Suite, with interiors inspired by the surrounding landscape and panoramic views of the hills and forests. In addition to accommodation, the retreat will offer a range of curated experiences including guided nature walks, sunrise and sunset trails, stargazing sessions and mindfulness programmes. Guests can also explore nearby trekking routes, coffee estates and the rich biodiversity of the Paithalmala region.

Commenting on the launch, Amruda Nair, Founder and Director, Araiya Hotels and Resorts, said, “Soul by Araiya began with a simple observation: Indian travellers are done paying for the ceremony. Soul promise is quality without theatre, good rooms, honest food, and places worth the journey.”

Located around 90 minutes from Kannur International Airport, the resort is positioned as a convenient gateway for travellers seeking a peaceful mountain retreat, a wellness-focused holiday or a deeper connection with Kerala’s mist-covered highlands.
